I know clubs are facing a lot challenges, let's balance things here.
I
have been on the talk of clubs improving the football-on-the-pitch, and
consistency in result, but recently, I came to a conclusion that every
club wants to play good football, get result "cleanly", but the issues
of officiating, intimidation and harassment is affecting greatly.
The
effect had made clubs formed (wrong) opinion, mentality and perception,
and we are where we are today with our labour is wearing us all.
Of
course there are changes, but season after season, we still keep having
the spillover of the the evil-of-the-past, those dark ages.
However,
by my observation, the singular factor that is causing this are the
THUGS in our match venues. They are the center of all problems the
league is facing now.Sadly no clubs can single-handedly handles them.
Personally,
I see thuggery in the league as economic-saboteurs and they should be
treated accordingly. These guys are ready to harass, cause mayhem for
their own pecuniary gains.
Interestingly,
these thugs are negligible percentage in match day attendance, but
they are very powerful and command a large influence. In some clubs,
these thugs have more authority than even the Club managers at times.
On
my own, since last month I've been working on something, almost two
weeks now, I have had discussion with a top source in LMC, hopefully
they start working on it.
Personally,
I want something faster. For me, the growth of the league is centered
around how successfully we take these guys(thugs) off our match venues.
Of
course it won't be a one-off, its needs tact, it will take time, but
its what we must do, and must not delay. We need to declare
state-of-emergency and be consistent in dealing with it.
Perhaps,
its is imperative to say that, Spectators suffers it during stadium-ban
which is obviously caused by these guys. The Clubs suffers the most,
they loose revenue apart from the fact that these thugs are even
parasite to both club management and personnel.
If we want fair officiating in our home matches, let's take the thugs off.
If we want clubs to play beautiful football in a relax atmosphere, let's take the thugs off.
If we want to create an ambience for right spectators to come see league matches, let's take the thugs off.
If
we want to create a robust league-football industry, where all the
stakeholders have amazing ROI, then we need to take the thugs off.
We have got a goldmine of a league-football industry in our hand, but we must make it work.
Lets #TakeTheThugsOffNPFL
